1000 Flowering Trees

I'm aiming to paint 1000 flowering trees over the next few months, or years

I started sketching then digitally painting flowering trees, inspired by the amazing spring in 2024.

Some trees are observed in my neighbourhood and travels in England but most are spun from my imagination. I'm always studying and researching art history and for quick inspiration love to visit Google Arts and Culture. My work tools include pen, iPad, Mac, Google Photos, Figma and my latest favourite AI art-making software; this is ever changing and sometimes includes Google Imagen 3, Recraft and Visual Electric. I also chat to Claude, Gemini and others for help guiding my research. They also help immensely providing creative support, with feedback and we spend plenty of time blending ideas.

Update 27 January 2025: I've now painted and published 334 flowering trees.
